Also it still doesn't show as linked to Microsoft account, don't know why.
We just get a piece of paper with the product key, if we activate it online, it shows it is already activated on another PC. So we need to call Microsoft team and they activate it. The whole process seems a bit suspicious. One has to contact on whatsapp to activate, and it does activate, working. Activated instantly genuine product. Thank you amazon and the seller but it is rather costly.
In Europe it is much cheaper. For India it's cost should be reduced so that general public use genuine softwares. As per the product description, the product didn't work. I couldn't activate the product. Just wasted my money. Very easy to activate.
But they should have provided the product key through email. Registration done manually. To use Office Online, you have to be connected to the net, though. Using Office Online, we all can save our files easily on One Drive or Google Drive, avoiding the risk of hard-disk crash. Another option is buying the subscription of Office , which is expensive and out of consideration for home users like me. The product is good, and given its lifetime use, it is not expensive.
If you are going use Mac for, say, 8 years or so, nothing wrong in buying this. You can always install it on your new Mac using the key. One machine use is for lifetime! I've been using Macs for almost 10 years now. At workplace we use Microsoft Windows and Office.
Of the four programs included with this version of Office, I will only use two of them. Word and Excel. It comes with Powerpoint and OneNote as well. That said, Word and Excel are worth the investment all by themselves. Downloading the software was simple. Download Office which gets updated on your account and install it on your Mac. Open any of the office app like Word. It will ask for a sign in for the first time.
Just use the same account which was used to download the office and once you enter your email id, the password screen might be loading forever.
So please update your OS before installing is what I would say as I came across the same issue. One thing to be aware of, You have to have OSX So that means Yosemite or El Capitan. The activation code isn't working. Always go to the particular vendor site and register with an email and get your product. Never Buy like this. My 5K is lost. Not sure what the other reviewers are on about, I was sceptical buying this but took a chance given the alternative cost of the latest Mac office versions.
